Sandy (Catherine Zeta-Jones), has turned 40, separated from her husband and looking for a new job in a new city and trying to get over the pains and heartaches. She rents an apartment above a popular coffee shop with her two children. Aram Finklestein (Justine Bartha), a 25 year old college graduate, also recently divorced and unsure of what to do with his life, decides to work in the coffee shop, wasting his time with dead end jobs until something exciting comes up. Luck has it for Sandy as Aram turns out to be a superb nanny for her two children, allowing her to explore and improve her career and personal life. Aram becomes close to Sandy’s children and eventually to her as well. Conflicts and arguments arise when age and personality differences come in the way. Will this May-December affair have a happy ending after all?

New Pinoy Movie - MANO PO 6

The daughter of a Chinese immigrant and a Filipino businessman, Melinda is discriminated by the local Chinese community for being only half-Chinese. Melinda was only in her late teens when she married Alfonso Uy from the wealthy Uy clan. But Alfonso’s parents frown upon the marriage, believing that it is cursed. Disappointed with Alfonso’s choice of wife, they disinherit him. As Alfonso’s parents predicted, a string of misfortunes hounds their marriage. Later on, Alfonso dies of a massive stroke.

A widow at a young age, Melinda and her children are compelled to live with her in-laws who maltreat her. She is driven away and her efforts to take custody of her children come to naught as her in-laws manage to hide the children from her. Melinda vows to someday take back her children as she channels her efforts to succeed financially, while continually monitoring the condition of her three children from afar.

Shake Rattle and Roll X

The episode Lamang Lupa is about a group of friends who go camping only to find themselves relentlessly pursued by ferocious creatures, the lamang lupa. Directed by Jessel Monteverde, this episode features Jennica Garcia, Rayver Cruz, Iya Villania, Mart Escudero, Bangs Garcia and twin brothers Dominic Roco and Felix Roco.

The second episode Diablo tells the story of Claire, a young doctor-intern at a provincial hospital who is haunted by demonic visions after she encounters a female patient who is suspected of carrying a deadly flu virus. Claire’s aunt brings her to Fr. Ronnie who turns out be Claire’s ex-boyfriend. Old flames are rekindled while Fr. Ronnie and Claire battle the demons. Directed by Rico Gutierrez, this episode pairs Maja Salvador and Mark Anthony Fernandez for the very first time.

Completing this horror trilogy is Ukay-Ukay, which reunites former reel and real sweethearts Ruffa Gutierrez and Zoren Legaspi. Ruffa and Zoren play soon-to-be-married couple Kayla and Harold whose wedding plans are deterred by a possessed gown from an ukay-ukay. Writer-turned-director Don Michael Perez is at the helm of this episode.
